About The Cossie Club

Established in 1889 as the Palmerston North Workingmen's Club, the Palmerston North Cosmopolitan Club has survived a fire that gutted its premesis in the early 1920's, a name change, and many a change in location.

The Palmerston North Cosmopolitan Club was one of the first Chartered Clubs in New Zealand and has been awarded a Permanent Charter that recognises this status.

Currently situated in Linton Street, the Palmerston North Cosmopolitan Club is part of the multi-sport, multi-function Club Palmerston facility, and shares its premises with the Palmerston North Bowling Club and the Inspire Net SquashGym.

Bringing the three Clubs together, combining  resources has boosted the benefits for all Club members, who can now enjoy a leisure, sports, food and beverage facility just 100 metres from The Square, right in the heart of the city.3

The main features of the Palmerston North Cosmopolitan Club include the 18 Gaming Machines, TAB facilities, pool and snooker tables, dart boards, Restaurant and Bar areas.  There are also three function/meeting rooms available for hire, with full catering and bar options that can be supplied if required.

Membership of the Palmerston North Cosmopolitan Club is $45 a year and memberships to the other facilities of the Club can be obtained also.
